      • AWR Pageant Twirl will begin with the letter “X” (last name)
      • All other events will be sorted randomly by the computer program.
      • Open events will be scheduled before Regional or Pageant events when possible.

EVENT INFORMATION PER NBTA RULES
        • All West Regional (AWR) and Pageant events are open to residents of the Western Region that include AZ, CA, HI, NV and UT only, and athletes may enter one status level per event. Basic Skills Competition (BSC) athletes may also enter the Beginner Pageant.
        • Advanced Regional Divisions: Regional Advanced athletes entering individual disciplines of advanced solo, advanced X-strut, and advanced multiple baton championship events will have two judges and no preliminary round of competition.
        • Basic Skills Competition:
          This pageant event is open to Novice contestants only. Twirl status determines eligibility. 20% Modeling (circle T pattern without interview), 40% Basic Strut and 40% Twirl.  (Attire per NBTA rules)
        • Visitor events are open to all that do not reside in the All West Region.
        • Double entering is permitted in Open and Visitor Events only.
        • Status Levels: A win in a higher class automatically advances the athlete to that class.
          !st Time Solo – A contestant is competing for the first time.
          Special Novice Class – A contestant that has never won a Novice Solo first-place.
          Novice Class – A contestant is a novice until receiving five first-place novice wins in a contest category. She or he then advances to the Beginner class. Winners awarded ribbons or medals only.
          Beginner Class – A contestant is a beginner until receiving five first-place Beginner wins in a contest category. She or he then advances to the Intermediate class.
          Intermediate Class – A contestant is an intermediate until receiving eight first-place Intermediate wins in a contest category. She or he then graduates to the elite Advanced class.
          Advanced Class – A contestant has reached the highest and most prestigious competitive level.
        • Only Online Entries will be accepted. No phoned in entries. (NOTE: The entry form will be taken down at midnight on March 2, 2024)
        • NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED! Video taping allowed only of own child or student.

      • AWR athletes performing to individual music (Rhythmic, Collegiate or Teams), please send as an mp3 file to southerncaliforniatwirling@gmail.com

            Please bring backup copies on CD.
  • AWARDS
    • Awards: Each competitor will receive a plaque and will be awarded engraved plates for either participation or placement 1st-5th, Adv Regional Solo 1st-8th. 1st Place AWR Miss Majorette, 1st Place Beginner Pageant and 1st Place Intermediate Pageant AYOP qualifiers also receive a banner and a crown.

    PAYMENT INFORMATION
    • NO REFUNDS
    • Payments: Payment by Check or Zelle.  Payment details are listed on the form, the good-bye screen and will be provided in a follow-up email shortly after entry submission. Please submit payment within 5 days of submission and postmarked by the deadline.
    • In Case of Forced Cancellation: If the state of CA or Xavier College Preparatory HS forces us to cancel, we will refund all entry fees with the exception of shirts and towels. If notice of cancellation is after the shirt and towel order has been placed; then they are non-refundable, and we will send them to coaches for distribution.
